I tried this based off a friend whose cat ate it most her life and is 23! With minimal health issues. My cat loves this flavor which is Meadowlands, he loves the other too but doesn’t go crazy over the fish one like I thought he would. But cats all have their own taste preferences just like humans do. I been mixing the kibble w broth or wet food (wet food is how they get more water absorption in their bodies than straight up drinking it) also less teeth and tummy probs, I will continue buying this, it is worth every penny, it’s a perfect mid price for a healthy and delicious meal without breaking the bank for ur furbabies, and most of the really overpriced ones hav terrible ingredients.

I have had an indoor/outdoor cat for almost 14 years. She is free fed and hunts when she wants too. My vet suggested a lower protein food due to her age, but she is healthy as can be and still catches quail, rabbits etc. I was not willing to diminish her quality of life to cut her protein by suddenly making her stay inside. Because she naturally hunts, my vet has said that her teeth and overall necessity to survive outside has helped keep her at an optimal weight and health. She is so lean and agile. Granted**** and this is important, I live in elevation and we have very few risks of disease or parasites. She has a natural survival instinct to not eat but kill rodents but eats what is healthy for her such as birds. She has been on this food her entire life and has thrived. I know it is more expensive but I absolutely feel like she has seen and wel continue to see the benefits.

My cat Rex loved this food! He is usually sneaky with food, but not with this food.

I really loved this kitten food I love all the health benefits that it has, and the nutritional values that will help my baby boy grow big and strong and healthy. He loves the taste and the food as well.

Getting my 2 kitties to agree on 1 food has always been a problem but they both agree on this one!

My cat loves this food and her coat is always so soft and shiny.

As an ER Vet Tech of 24 yrs years, I’ve, sadly, gained more knowledge of the ‘pet food industry’ than I ever cared to.
Do research and check ingredients against scientific standards and genetics of felines, any species really. We’ve allowed ease for their humans to create food sources out of what they really need to eat to thrive.
Yes, I’m going against my industry as well as much of what I was taught in years of school.
Many of the ‘suggested’ foods from your favorite Vet are done so via kickbacks from product makers. I won’t list them out of not slandering anyone. If your on this site reading reviews, you’ve most likely been on a journey?!
I’ve left 3+ product reviews in a long life on Amazon….
My cat ‘Tonka’, Tabby/Main Coon, was wedged in my husband’s car at 6-8 wks.
1/4 panel and muff in AUG!!! Yikes.
Well I’m his human. He’s 7 now and I guess a raised him like a dog? Truly….
At 7 mths he blocked with crystals. My first male. All previous cats were female for this very reason. Unblocked, and at that very moment put on a spec diet. You know? I said no more after 2 weeks, and started half spec and half blanched Chk thighs raw. Took him off the spec diet and found a wet to go with the blanched raw.
Fast-forward to Nov 2022…
Coat lost sheen. Losing weight. No bright eyes.
Every test know to man, all normal. Nothing Nada?? Ultrasound, x-rays all normal.
Crazy mom. Why can’t I figure this out.
Off to a specialist, nothing!!
Diet fine. Nothing in the house. NEVER goes outside.
Talking with my horse farrier. Of course we horse talk, no time for other species. I was upset and so starts the ending of my guy’s odd story.
I explained everything, and she smiled?? Really?!
I begin to hear about her old man house cat of 23. Absolute same presentation. She chose a Cornell Cat Spec.
(You get the same answer when they can’t diagnose).
‘Try slowly switching foods’.
She did with ‘ACANA’! Normal happy 23 yr old in no time. Lived to 26.
HMMMMP Ok. It’s been a week since I started the ‘Indoor’ formula. I did a lot of research and came back to, yeeup, ‘ACANA’!!
My boy has been on SOAKED(!!) ‘ACANA’, ~ 7 days!!
He gets a blanched chicken thigh 3x a wk as well.
Fast results??? Crazy!
*Smell A+
*Freshness A+
*Taste? He about dove in the bag when he smelled from another room! He doesn’t beg…A+
*Coat has come back ~ 65% and has sheen again.
*Eyes bright
* Attitude? A terror again playing and running. He’s always had over the top hunting and play skills.
All I know is ‘ACANA’ is what worked. Hallelujah thank the Universe.
I will revisit this review in a month. I’m sold. My buddy is sold. That’s all that matters. All my animals come first.
Advice to all cat owners….
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get your cats drinking water, broth, ++++
They MUST have liquids. Cats get their Vits, Enzymes and hydration from vermin they would kill if allowd. 80% liquids if you want a number?
I soak his ‘ACANA’ in warm water for 1/2 an hour. That gets put in small dish. ~ 1/4 c both it makes, am and pm. He eats it all, and then drinks the liquid. I give separately to monitor fluid intake. He’s always gotten separate fluid since 7mths old. NEVER had another FUS issue. Knock wood!
Sorry for the book, but I know cats can be difficult. Go slow and don’t give up. This was my journey.
Good luck

These little cans pack a punch – both of my cats are absolutely obsessed. I love the ingredients and feel good about feeding this to them. It’s a great value for the price point.
