My dog doesn’t tolerate chicken and certain grains – this food is ideal

Our chocolate lab has been eating acana for 12 and she loves it. We were bummed about the sale to Mars so we tried Open Farm Pet. Unfortunately although OFP seemed great, our very very food motivated girl would no longer finish her meals and her poo started getting softer and more yellow, we tried for two bags but no luck so we are back to Acana until we can find another alt.

Like most German shepherd dogs, mine has sensitive stomach and skin. She can only do salmon or lamb with no corn. She use to be so itchy and have diarrhea frequently on other sensitive foods. Acana has helped her thrive. She’s gaining weight, keeping her weight, no longer itchy, and having regular bowel movements. She really loves the flavor as well. She happily finishes all her food even without warm water over it.

A dog trainer told me how to find a list of the best dog foods as rated by a magazine about dogs. I’ve been trying different brands off and on. My dog, obviously can’t tell me what it is that makes her like or dislike different dog foods. I might try it again some time, just to make sure that it was the flavor and not just a mood she was in.

The quality breeder of my Bichon highly recommends this! Dogs seem to thrive on it without health issues. That’s not been the case with other dogs I’ve had who were on baked kibbles.
