I have a picky eater, blue and gold macaw that was raised solely on seed based food for the majority of her life. (Kaytee parrot food is TRASH don’t buy it!) I’ve had her for 2 years now, weaning her off the seed-fueled kaytee, and the variety of this in addition to the zupreem fruit blend pellets has done the trick. She had to be weaned off slowly so the kaytee with the zupreem, but I’ve gotten rid of the kaytee and replaced it with this…. she is like “seeds who?!” Loves the fruit in here, and it’s loaded with pistachios which are her FAVORITE. Good stuff here guys, just wish it was cheaper. Don’t buy kaytee!!!!

I did get my bag of treats on time . Bag was smaller then exexspected. That again I paid 6.30 for the bag . Now to see if my birds like more then millot treat. Ok for value of money

My macaw will pick out what she likes the best it seems like she likes pretty much everything but I have also learned that I have to give her a little out a time Or else she throws it around

This has been great as a treat / supplement for my severe macaw. It really helped her put on weight; we put this food in her bowl on her play stand but she doesn’t get it all the time, and only gets a limited amount. It was one of the few enrichment foods I could find that was macaw specific and didn’t contain peanuts or sunflowers.
She loves it and is finally at a healthy weight (getting weight on her after we adopted her had been a challenge). I wouldn’t feed it as the only or primary diet though. Make sure your bird is getting a quality pellet food (we use Roudybush) as well as daily veggies (fresh is ideal, frozen that you thaw and/or cook in water and then strain and serve once cool are also fine).
